Internet Marketing Methods

I have learned from and worked with some of the most successful online marketing experts to provide YOU with the most current and powerful methods of generating income rapidly.  I have spent thousands of dollars and done my research so YOU don’t have to, which will shorten YOUR learning curve, and get YOU to a significant income level quickly.  While I market primarily on the internet, these are a number of methods that can all be utilized to create income:

1. Let me know, and we’ll go through the process of getting set up in GRN together. This allows you to take advantage of the travel membership (get ready to go on vacation!), and gives you the right to begin reselling the membership. Depending on your method of payment, it takes a few to 14 days for your membership payment to go through, and to receive your website, login and password from GRN.

2. You will get information from me IMMEDIATELY about how to start building your business. You will have access to my team’s very thorough training website, my training site, training from GRN itself, and of course, to me. There is plenty to do while waiting for your GRN membership to get set up.

3. You’ll build your business presence, which will be mostly online, with as little or as much guidance as you wish. When you’re ready, you’ll launch.

What is the product and what are the detailed benefits of a Global Resorts Network Membership?

GRN offers an exclusive travel membership to over 5,000 4 and 5 star resorts, located worldwide. Members enjoy savings of up to 90% off off retail prices for 1, 2, and 3 bedroom deluxe condominium suites. GRN made their official launch in March of 2007 as the new marketing partner to one of the top private membership clubs in the world. This vacation club has been in business for over 20 years, but the memberships were previously priced at $10,000 or more and were only available for purchase by attending a private sales presentation. GRN’s launch has allowed lifetime memberships to be sold for $2995 and $1495 by marketing them through network marketing. This marketing method has virtually eliminated the advertising costs, allowing the memberships to be sold for such a comparably low price.

The registry of properties include prestigious names such as Disney, Sheraton, Wyndham, Marriott, Radisson and more. Vacation prices range from $298 - $799 for an entire week, not per day or per person. Destinations include the most desirable locations worldwide, even in peak season, and many times the same location and dates offered by GRN are not available through the major online travel sites such as Expedia. You may book one year in advance, or with as little as 72 hours notice. While accomodations are the largest product, GRN also offers bookings on airfare, cruises and more, which will beat or meet major online booking sites, and has an incredibly responsive customer service center to help members. Members may book for friends and family, and a membership is fully transferable to another person. There are no hidden fees, including no maintenance fees, no monthly fees, no vouchers or coupons, no points system, no blackout dates, and no limit on number of travelers.

Is this similiar to a timeshare?

Yes and no. Many GRN properties include timeshares, and timeshares are GRN’s direct competition, but this is a luxury vacation club membership. When you compare the benefits of timeshare ownership to GRN membership, you’ll see that GRN positioned itself to be very competitive with timeshares. Many current timeshare owners have sold their timeshares in favor of becoming GRN members. Accomodations are the same or similar to what timeshare owners have - condos with kitchen, living and bedrooms.

Where is the corporate office and who is the president?

The corporate office is located on 22601 N. 17th Ave. Suite 230 Phoenix, AZ 85027. The President and CEO is Al Morales.

What is the difference between a member and an affiliate?

A member is someone who has purchased either the GRN Gold (3 year $1495) or Platinum (lifetime $2995) Resort Membership. An affiliate is a member who participates in the marketing and compensation program of GRN, but has not purchased a membership. Becoming an affiliate costs $100 only.

Here’s the comparison between the levels:

The Platinum membership is for a lifetime (or 100 years) and enables you to earn $1000 commissions as an affiliate when you make a Platinum sale. You earn $500 commissions when you make a Gold sale.

Purchasing the Gold membership allows you to make only $500 per sale, REGARDLESS of if it is a Gold or a Platinum package. You can upgrade from Gold to Platinum for $2000.

I do not recommend joining at the affiliate level, and here’s why. Basically, it’s harder to start making money. Here’s a scenario as to how - it’s detailed, but that’s the point of a FAQ page, right?

The first sale made by the $100.00 Affiliate is called an Activation Sale, which activates the Affiliate at the level that was sold, and the commissions AND person sold to is passed to their sponsor.

Example: A $100.00 Affiliate sells a Gold Membership on their Activation Sale, so they will now be activated as a Gold Affiliate. If a $100.00 Affiliate sells a Platinum Membership on their Activation Sale they will then be activated as a Platinum Affiliate. They make no money from this, the sale rolls up.

The second sale made by the now activated $100.00 Affiliate is the Qualifying Sale and would follow the same comp structure as any other Affiliate (refer to pay plan video on how this works)

If your activation sale happens to be a Gold membership, you’re stuck at the Gold level commissions ($500 per sale, regardless of if it’s Gold or Platinum). If you want to start making $1000 commissions on Platinum sales, you have to buy the Platinum membership. In this scenario, it would have made more sense just to start out as Platinum in the first place.

Here’s a few other reasons I encourage NOT joining as a $100 affiliate (and no, it’s not because I’m just interested in a commission. This business long-term is about building a team, not gouging people for a quick profit). First, it is far easier to promote something you use and believe in yourself. Secondly, if you join at the $100 affiliate level only, what kind of people do you think you’re going to attract to your own team? Why should they purchase a membership if you don’t? Lead by example.

Most affiliates recognize the incredible value in the lifetime membership. Most GRN members are Platinum Resort Members.

How much will my total initial cost be?

It depends. There is an annual cost of $100 for a website and back office GRN support. Then you decide which of the two memberships, Gold at $1495 or Platinum $2995, you would like to purchase. The initial startup would be $1595 ($1495 Gold + $100 affiliate website) or $3095 ($2995 Platinum + $100 affiliate website), respectively.

You will also need to set a budget for your first month’s advertising, as well as the costs of getting your online presence going (ie, website, autoresponder). I would recommend anywhere between $500 and $2000, and the closer you can get to $2000, the better. Why so much? Well, any real business has an initial investment, and this is what it takes to treat this as a real business with real advertising. If you think back to the compensation plan, you can see how fast that can be made back. See the next question for more about where that money would go.

This is a different ballgame, folks, than businesses that may appear to be ‘cheaper’ because they require something like a small monthly autoship to activate your business. Read The Platinum Report, authored by one of my GRN business partners, for more perspective on this.

How much money can I expect to spend each month advertising?

Once again, this depends on you and your budget. It makes sense to wait and see what your dollars produce and make your future budget based on the performance of your initial investment. If your budget allows, I would recommend focusing on pay per click as one of your main methods of advertising, as it’s a great way to get a lot of targeted traffic quickly (this business to a large extent is a numbers game, as any business is. Some will be interested, some won’t - it’s a matter of sifting and sorting).

There are also MANY ways to market online inexpensively or even free (You Tube, Craig’s List, E-zine Articles, Blogging, MySpace, other Web 2.0 avenues) that are effective. One of the first things I will recommend to you when you are ready for this is a training platform that can take you from A to Z at your own pace with these advertising methods. With any business you must have SOME marketing dollars set aside to grow your business. I believe the mistake most home based business owners make is they fail to spend money advertising their business or they don’t spend it effectively. That’s how we nickel and dime our “trial” businesses into the ground. I’ll show you how to spend whatever your budget happens to be, in the most effective way, and set realistic expectations for pacing, but I work with those who are ready to build a business, not test the waters.

Keep in mind: If you spend $2,000 in advertising each month and only got 3 sales as a result, you would still make $3,000 - netting you a profit of $1,000. If you taught 5 other affiliates to do the same, you would net $16,000 a month by still only spending $2,000. This is the power of Leverage.

Do I need to have my own website?

Yes, and you will have the option to utilize many ready-to-use team marketing sites tailored to feature you. I have a couple resources for a specialists who will build you a website for a very low cost to help you with some of the key components when marketing online and help you be ready to advertise and bring in money quickly. And remember, I’m a web developer, making me uniquely positioned to advise you on this front.

Do I need online marketing experience or skill?

No, and the vast majority of people don’t have it when they join. I sure didn’t, and made some pretty costly basic mistakes before I found GRN and got a clue! I was lucky to have found some of the best online marketers that continually show how they got to the top. I will teach you what works most effectively. However, in order to be the most successful you must be willing to LEARN and APPLY what you learn.

What equipment will I need in order to get started?

It would be best if you have a laptop or desktop computer with high speed internet access. Even though some off line advertising does exist, this advertising is always focused on driving traffic to an opt-in landing page. I would also recommend you have a cell phone. I would hate for you to lose a good potential business partner simply because someone couldn’t get in touch with you.

How many hours realistically will I need to spend each week building my business?

The beauty of this business is, you get to decide. I work my business around my husband and young son. Starting out is a little more time consuming as you can imagine, as you need to learn the terms and business. Once you get a grasp on the overall picture, it is entirely up to you how much time you want to devote. I would only promote this business if it gave everyone, including the stay at home mom, who may only have a few hours during the day while her kids are at school or napping, and the busy full-time professional who can squeeze in an hour or two a few hours a week to get this going, the same opportunity to succeed. In either case, I am confident anyone with a focused effort can build a six figure income with a part-time effort (this is honestly the situation most people are in when they join GRN). The secret is automation, and I will teach you how to do that.

Do I have to bug my friends and family?

No, and please don’t. I have tried this method too many times with other business ventures and it just puts them in awkward situations, as well as leaves you with a blank slate once you’ve used up your list. The internet is world wide, which means your customer base is world wide as well! We have team members in Canada, Australia, the US and the UK, and it didn’t get that way by bothering our warm markets! On an average day on Google, over 12 Million entries are put in for Home Based Business - EVERY DAY!!! You will learn how to tap into this. The irony is, once you become successful, your warm market might start coming to YOU! I show you how to have prospects coming after you rather than you looking for prospects. That is KEY to being successful!!

What is the Reverse Funnel System?

The Reverse Funnel System is a marketing system that converts sales for the Global Resorts Network. GRN did not create it, nor does it endorse it - it was created separately by Ty Coughlin, and was designed to be an automatic, turnkey marketing system. The RFS ad copy is very effective at converting sales, and utilizes a technique known as a ‘funded proposal’.

Here’s what that means. Imagine how many businesses work - they cast a large ‘funnel’ to draw prospects in and slowly filter down to the ones who are a good match for whatever the offer is. The Reverse Funnel takes an opposite approach by turning the funnel upside down and putting a smaller group of people through the small end of the funnel first. Instead of getting information on the business opportunity for free, you go through the ‘small’ end of the funnel by paying a fee (about $50) to complete a ‘qualifying survey’. Once you’ve completed the survey, the funnel ‘opens up’ and you learn more about the actual business of GRN. The fee eliminates tire-kickers, and puts money in the pocket of whoever is operating a Reverse Funnel because they get paid $50 before a person even joins GRN. Hence, it suits the definition of a ‘funded proposal’, because prospects are funding the person presenting the proposal before they even hear it!

While effective on the front end (the paid survey part), many RFS subscribers have had difficulty having their RFS prospects ’stick’ to them because it’s a little TOO automated and turnkey of a system - in fact, beyond branding Ty Coughlin, it’s pretty anonymous, resulting in prospects being confused, not having a clear place to go with questions, and often ultimately looking for information outside the RFS and eventually joining GRN under someone else. The RFS is getting to a point where enough people have been frustrated with it that in my opinion, while some people are successfully using it, it’s starting to get a bad name, and many people are abandoning their funnels. I was warned away from RFS when I joined Global and have been happy with this decision.

The anonymity problem like that faced by RFS members, as well as other unsuccessful online businesses outside of GRN, can be overcome by using proven personal branding techniques to make your prospects ’stick’ to you, which is what I will teach you.

What is your commitment to your team?

Building a successful business is all about leadership and how you treat your team. My goal is to get each member of my team to become their own team leader, and to pass what I have learned so you will pass it down to your team. I am 100% committed to those who join my team. Besides just being good business and being a good person, remember that the compensation plan makes it such that my success is in large part dependent on how successful I help you become.
