The GRN San Francisco Conference was AMAZING… beautiful weather, great activities, great camaraderie, and fantastic training.

When you work from home, it’s easy to retreat into your little bubble. However, when a team/company conference is put on, it’s worth it to ditch the bunny slippers and do what it takes to go.

The conference itself was worth the price of admission (which was a measly $98, by the way). What’s so INVALUABLE is the informal networking and idea sharing with the others you meet there. Not to mention fun activities like wine tours through Sonoma (which I had to miss, darn!) and biking over the Golden Gate Bridge! (hint, that’s where a lot of that informal networking occurs)

The next conference is in Dallas in January 2009. I’ll be there. Will you?

 I spent a week at the resort the last weekend in March.
The Resort is beautiful. The hotel is a horseshoe and we
had a room that was directly over the sand. The room has
a huge balcony that over looks the water. This is not a brand
new resort but everything is immaculate.

week in May 2008. We had a wonderful time. The hotel was
within walking distance to downtown and all of the great restaurants
in the area. The rooms were very spacious and clean.

Pasé una semana en el resort el pasado fin de semana de Marzo.
El resort era muy bonito. El hotel tiene forma de herradura y
tuve una habitación que estaba directamente encima de la arena.
La habitación tenía un gran balcón con vistas sobre el agua. Este no es un resort
nuevo pero todo está inmaculado.
 
“Gran Hotel/Gran Lugar”
Mi marido y yo estuvimos en Pueblo Bonito Blanco durante una semana
en Mayo del 2008.Tuvimos unos días maravillosos. El hotel estaba
a un paseo entre el centro de la ciudad y todos los grandes restaurantes
de la zona. Las habitaciones eran espaciosas y muy limpias.

Your first sale no longer rolls 100% up to your sponsor. You now recieve half of what a normal membership sale commission would be on your first sale. This means, if your first sale is a Plantinum membership, you earn $500. If it’s Gold, you earn $250. (this is assuming you came in at the Platinum level).

Looking for a way to supercharge your business, whether you’re a newbie or someone more experienced?

Come to a GRN conference, like this one in Denver. The training itself was awesome. The networking and idea generation that came from that was incredible.

Sometimes, people new to web marketing are a little camera shy. Even those who have been in positions of leadership before, teachers, or people who are otherwise used to presenting sometimes struggle a bit when it’s just them and the camera staring them in the face.

This is normal! And, something you get better at quickly. Having a little goof-up here and there keeps it real. Remember, people follow and buy from those they feel they know, like and trust. Appearing as a serious entrepreneur who’s capable is important, but if you’re not approachable, that’s no good.

When I first started making videos, I’d shoot, re-shoot and re-shoot again, nit-picking every voice inflection, every little thing I added in or forgot to include! Who would think that a 5 minute video would take hours to make? As a former software instructor, I was used to having to be center stage and talk. I think it was the fact that what I said would be recorded, forever, unchangeable, made me want to nitpick.

I eventually realized the folly in this! Its a huge time waster. And, as I got more comfortable with the camera, I realized that perfection is not important. Coherent and relevant content, yes, and keeping it short is important too (the web is an ADD-like culture. Short videos frankly get watched more). But, nitpicking only leads to tearing your hair out. Practicing a new video with a few bullet points, or maybe not practicing at all and just shooting, is much better, and you learn quickly what works.

Still nervous? That’s OK! The point is to DO IT ANYWAY, and move past it. Pushing yourself to do something you’re still a little uncomfortable with is a GREAT way to grow.

Something around 50% of web traffic is video, and 12% of that is YouTube alone. Does that sound like an important place to be when marketing? PLUS, something super-fun is to post a new video on YouTube and watch the views it starts picking up almost immediately. What a sense of world community it gives you!

Wow. My husband and I honeymooned here 5 years ago.

We have just returned from our 8-day stay at the Sands of Kahana.
A friend of ours has a time-share we rented, we stood in bldg.4 the
penthouse ocean-view suite we had such a beautiful view from our lanai.
This was a family trip there were 5 adults and 1 child we had plenty of
room we had a 3…

“ SANDS OF KAHANA ES GENIAL”

“3 bedroom is huge!”
Our family of two boys and two girls spent a week at the Sands of Kahana.
Highly recommend #256 if you can get it. It is huge! 2700 sq feet counting
the balconies. Its really two master suites. We loved it because of the size.
Other amenities are typical. Has a restaurant, work out room, etc. Played
golf at Kannapali…

Our friends own a timeshare there so they invited us to stay with them on Maui.

“Very pleased”
Our friends with timeshares on Maui and Kaui, considers the Sands of Kahana to
be their favorite. We now know why. It is well planned, nicely furnished and
maintained with spacious accommodations, one of the nicest beaches in the area
and very friendly staff. Especially liked the outdoor dining areas and gas grills -

A two-part video here about personal branding, which is a technique heavily used by those in GRN. And for good reason - - people buy from those they know, like and trust. Setting yourself apart from everyone else by putting your story, your expertise, and your personality brands YOU, not a company or some replicated website.
